STORM: By Tim Minchin

For everyone who knows me but has never understood how or why I feel the way I currently do about life, science, religion, politics, philosophy ... watch this.  This animated short is based on a performance by the talented comedian, musician, and skeptic Tim Minchin.  His poem is phenomenal and the illustrations are right on point.  Sit back, relax, and think for a change:

I just randomly came upon your blog after googling "teratoma" for a biology project, and I just wanted to say that I love it! The "Storm" short film was amazing, and every post I read is interesting and thought-provoking. Also, I'm currently working on a seminar presentation on a paper about converting human differentiated cells into progenitor cells, and then I saw that you work on that kind of thing -- it sounds like a fascinating field! Thanks so much for this blog!

Thanks for the kudos! I try to keep the blog interesting, though it's been hard to find time lately to make updates.

Induced pluripotency is something our lab specializes in, so if you have any questions just let me know. My PhD thesis studies involved many cool pictures of testicular teratomas - feel free to use any images on here that I might have posted if you find them useful!
