Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?
It's all about the journey ...right? 'Reason' seems to be a noun, a place to which I am attempting to journey. 'Reason' more accurately represents my reality as a verb - my journey is something that I am relentlessly trying to reason in a world confounded by human emotion and ruled by illogical judgments. Through documenting my thoughts on science, philosophy, religion, politics, and day-to-day life I can infer some meaning from this journey and find like-minded humans with which to share it.

Epicurus
After another successful atheist movie night at my house (tonight we watched The God Who Wasn't There) and a vigorous discussion about the personal impact of conversion and the individual (usually intellectual) capacity to undergo the conversion to atheism, this quote from Epicurus came up:
